What are the dates for summer 2019?

Our dates for next Summer aren't out quite yet, but if you have a group wanting to serve, we invite you to connect with us by emailing info@raisetheroofproject.org.

How are homeowners selected?

Homeowners who cannot make major repairs to their own homes apply for assistance at the United Methodist Inner City Mission of Mobile.

Who serves during the mission weeks?

Raise the Roof Project Summer Mission Weeks are designed for high school students and adult leaders to participate in home repair projects, primarily roofing.  Middle School students may attend, but cannot be on a roof.  You must have completed the 8th grade to work on a roof.

 Do I have to be United Methodist to participate?

No. God calls all who follow Him to serve those in need. We invite anyone with a heart to serve!

Where do the groups stay?

Groups are housed at Camp Christian in Tillman's Corner, AL.

What happens at night?

Evenings include dinner, worship, a speaker, fellowship options, and group time for debriefing.

What about Friday?

Groups can choose to serve on Friday, head home, or take some time to enjoy the beaches and attractions of Mobile and the Gulf Coast.

What is the cost of the mission week?

The cost is $295 per participant.

What does that include?

The registration fee covers lodging, all meals, tools, construction materials, and a t-shirt.

Where do I send checks for payments & donations?

Please make checks payable to Raise the Roof Project. Mail to Raise the Roof Project at 1507 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL, 36604. Donations (not payments) can also be made online.
